ROR DRESSAGE HORSE (WINCHCOMBE)

“Woody” is a much loved and handsome 12-year-old, dark bay, 16.2hh, Irish TB gelding ex-racehorse looking for a relaxed, loving, long-term non-jumping home. The last few years he has been eventing at 100cm and recently scoring 70+% in the dressage with great comments. He moves well and would make a lovely prelim (established) to medium (training) dressage horse. He is eligible for the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) competition series. Snaffle mouth, plain cavesson noseband. Good to shoe, box, and will hack alone and in company. No vices. Sound and ready to go. Dressage saddle included in loan. Advertised for loan (with full written agreement and home checks) due to pregnancy and lack of time. Non-jumping home required so that he can have a long and happy active life: he has arthritis in his hocks that is easily managed with Animalife Vetrofen (supplement) but jumping, although perfectly doable, would require regular ongoing steroid injections and I would rather not take that route. Experienced riders only - no novices. He is a lovely, affectionate but sensitive horse who wants a good pair of hands and confident handling (he is an ex-racehorse and a thoroughbred after all). He will blossom with the right person. Based in livery at Mill Farm in Greet, near Winchcombe. Can stay on there with his buddy or move locally. I can send videos on request.
